A few weeks ago we were able to fly for the first time on one of the last low-cost airlines that arrived in Argentina, JetSmartThat's why today, I'm going to take this opportunity to share my experience with you so you can have more information about it.

Why travel with JetSmart

For a few weeks now, I've been looking for a cheap flight to Santiago, Chile. Until recently, only traditional airlines, such as Aerolíneas Argentinas and LatamThey are the best known but also the most expensive compared to the new airlines. low-cost.

The latter arrived in Argentina one or two years ago, with much fanfare behind them. Flybondi was the first to arrive, and there have been many problems from the start. This comes from the condition of its planes, frequent cancellations, flight diversions, etc.

Then came JetSmart and Norwegian, and I think more are on the way. Fortunately, as the months have passed, we've heard fewer and fewer complaints or problems about these airlines.

These companies' strength is offering you cheap tickets at the expense of not including certain services that other airlines offer in their standard ticket prices.

We will find that, if for example we want to take a hand luggage on board (a little bigger than a regular backpack), they will charge us extra. Or if we decide to check in a larger luggage in the hold, will have another extra price.

Also, for now, they leave the new El Palomar Airport, which charges airlines fewer fees and charges to use the runway.

Experience with JetSmart

JetSmart is no exception to the business model it used to have. It also charges extra for luggage larger than a simple backpack. If you wish, choose seat, you will have to pay an extra amount. Or if you do the check in at the airport, extra charge. If you want eat something during the flight, extra charge.

Basically, they charge you for everything except for your carry-on bag, which is included in the ticket.

Now, if you avoid these extra charges, your ticket can actually be cheaper compared to other airlines.

He check in, you can do it online and take it printed or on your cell phone. seating, if you do not choose them, they are assigned randomly (with the advantage that if there are 2 or 3 passengers, they will be assigned together if possible). Eat On such short flights, it is not essential and the luggage It's up to you whether you take the bare minimum or not.

The airplanes that they use are the A320 And they look like they're pretty new. There isn't much space between the seats, and they don't recline. This is done to make the most of the plane's space. If you're very tall, it won't be very comfortable, but again, with such short trips, I understand it's bearable.

With the schedule Luckily, they were punctual. I had read several reviews about the lateness, that they take several hours to leave, but that wasn't the case for me.

Handbag

Something that generates many doubts and misunderstandings is the luggage included in the ticket: Carry-on Bag.

Although the measurements of the hand bag, and the rest of the luggage, are specified in the JetSmart official website, confusion often arises at the counter. To avoid confusion, I'll show you what a normal backpack would look like.

These photos are of the backpack I carried and it passed without any problem as a Handbag.

Conclusions

As you may have noticed, my experience with JetSmart was very positive (I wish I was getting paid to write this article, haha). In our case, we were able to find really cheap tickets without any extra charges. Plus, getting to the airport is really easy compared to Aeroparque or Ezeiza.

Keep in mind that if someone else has a problem, their story may be completely opposite to mine. I've read all kinds of things before traveling. They say they're late, that your carry-on bag doesn't fit the required size and you're charged extra, that someone's luggage was left outside the plane, and so on.

Obviously, each person's experience greatly influences their perception of the company. This is true of all the services we hire.

Since this is something relatively new, I wanted to give you my opinion on it, and perhaps clear up some doubts.

Anything, comment below and I'll answer.

Greetings!!
